A tip from the public lead police in Surrey, BC to raid a home suspected of running an illicit cannabis store from a home residence on April 23, 2020.

Over the course of the investigation, police uncovered not only evidence of an alleged online cannabis sales business, but items police say are consistent with drug trafficking products like cocaine and MDMA.

Police say the home, in the 16400-block of 24A Avenue, contained drug cutting agents, drug packaging and processing materials, multiple cell phones and various packaged cannabis products, along with $1700 in cash.

Police say two were arrested in relation to the investigation, one man and one woman. No charges have been laid at this time.

In an image released by RCMP, numerous packaged products are displayed, including what appears to be infused cotton candy, vape pens and cartridges, dried cannabis, and other cannabis products.

This is a great example of Surrey residents helping to address the illicit drug trade in the community,” says acting Proactive Enforcement Officer, Staff Sergeant Ryan Element, in an RCMP press release. “Despite the legalization of cannabis, we will continue to enforce drug laws and target illegal drug activity in Surrey.
