Grenville OPP seize $15k worth of cannabis in traffic stop

| Morton Robertson

Grenville OPP say a recent traffic stop in North Grenville lead to the seizure of $15,000 worth of illicit cannabis products.

A 25 yr old from the Toronto area has been charged. No other details on the arrest are currently available.

Several of the products shown in a picture of the seizure such as Nature’s Harvest Elixr edibles and Sparrow & Co. gummies are available in various illicit online cannabis stores, along with individually packaged extracts, dried flower and pre rolls.

Although cannabis is only available in Canada via authorized, provincially-approved retailers, numerous illicit online stores continue to thrive. In March of this year, Public Safety Canada released a document that said the agency is working with federal, provincial and territorial partners to develop an action plan to disrupt online illicit cannabis sales.
