Police in Ontario raided an unlicensed cannabis store on July 26, seziing cannabis and cash and charging one employee.
Durham Regional Police say they executed a search warrant at “Oshaweed” an unlicensed cannabis dispensary just off of King Street West in Oshawa. Officers then seized cannabis, cash, and other cannabis products worth a combined value of more than $ 66,000.
A 47-year-old female employee was charged with Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling. She was released on an Undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
The website for the business as well as signage on the building itself says they are open 24 hours a day. The website lists dried flower for around $5-15 a gram, along with edibles, extracts, vape pens, and more.
The business is located just minutes away from several licensed cannabis stores. Several employees at nearby cannabis stores told StratCann the business had been open for about a month.
