Waterloo Regional Police raid Kitchener dispensary

Police recently raided an unlicensed cannabis dispensary in Kitchener, Ontario, arresting one man and seizing cannabis, psilocybin, cannabis resin, edibles, vape pens, and cash. 

On November 1, 2022, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Drugs and Firearms Unit responded to a call for service at a residence in the area of Margaret Avenue and Victoria Street North. 

In the process of responding to that call, police say they discovered an illicit cannabis dispensary in the area of Margaret Avenue and Victoria Street North, Kitchener. 

A search warrant was completed and investigators seized suspected cannabis and psilocybin products estimated by police to be worth over $100,000. Products shown in police-provided images include bulk cannabis and individually packaged cannabis products, edibles such as infused Sour Patch Kids, JaneNards Swedish Berries, Melon Headz, “Stoneoes” and “Trips Ahoy”, along with vape pens, various extracts, and much more. 

A 30-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
