On September 12, a US Border Patrol Agent says they observed a person who appeared to have entered the United States by avoiding the Gillespie Port of Entry in Maine.

During questioning the man told the agent that he was a U.S. Citizen, but a records check showed he was born in France and had Canadian Citizenship. The individual admitted to being illegally present in the United States and was placed under arrest for illegal entry.

A search following his arrest revealed a small amount of cannabis and six syringes of cannabis oil that later tested positive for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The Canadian Citizen was expelled to Canada under Title 42 USC 265.
