Women in cannabis and psychedelics from around the globe come together at WWC Conference, May 26 & 27

In cannabis, women remain underrepresented at the top-level holding less than 17% of leadership positions. This is despite marginal differences in consumption rates and American women outspending men on edibles, beverages, topicals and tinctures. This is an exciting shift in the market’s landscape, as many embrace cannabis for its medicinal properties, integrating products into their health and wellness routines.

However, the lack of boardroom diversity puts many companies at odds with the modern female consumer.

Womxn, Wellness and Cannabis Conference

Creating a dedicated space for female thought leaders to network, connect and collaborate is essential to support market inclusivity. The largest free global event connecting women in cannabis, the Womxn, Wellness and Cannabis Conference (WWC Conference), last year attracted over 950 industry professionals for engaging panel discussions, keynotes and Q&As.

Following the roaring success of the inaugural event, the groundbreaking conference returns Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, May 27th, providing a unique opportunity to forge relationships with industry trailblazers in an inclusive, fun and educational online environment. An exciting development this year is the inclusion of psychedelics, to discuss breakthroughs in scientific research and decriminalization efforts worldwide.

Last summer four Canadian’s received exemptions to access psilocybin, the psychoactive ingredient in magic mushrooms, in palliative care. Following the landmark decision, a further 24 applications have been approved, igniting hopes the novel drug could be regulated for medicinal purposes.

The feminine cannabis and psychedelic experience

The two-day virtual conference will cover pertinent topics such as women in leadership, product development and compliant marketing, and is supported by VIP Partners Flow Scientific and Vivo Cannabis. Confirmed speakers include 48Nrth Founder Alison Gordon, Parkland Flower CEO Kieley Beaudry, Dr. Pam Kryskow and more.

The female-led WWC Conference is spearheaded by Marigold PR, with support from an acclaimed advisory committee of industry experts. Co-founder of Marigold PR and WWC Conference, Katie Pringle, said, “We’re delighted to be returning for our second year, as we continue to champion diversity in the burgeoning cannabis and psychedelic industries.  The conference provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the feminine cannabis and psychedelic experience, on a platform proudly created by women for women”.
