Growing Relationships is a one-day B2B event that brings together retailers, producers, and ancillary services for networking, brainstorming, discussion, and learning. It’s designed to support business growth by providing an opportunity and space to build connections, share insights, and be part of the community conversations. We aim to deliver our events in the under-served communities, with the goal of opening up accessibility to industry events.
Our Ottawa 2025 event includes our signature networking activities and roundtable industry discussions. An essential component of Growing Relationships is engaging the community in discussions and brainstorming on current industry issues from diverse perspectives. We capture these insights and provide a summary to relevant regulators, ensuring they hear directly from those who are actively working in the industry.
Attendees will enjoy networking opportunities, engaging discussions, presentations, and catered lunch.
And we’re partnering again with the Tether Budtender Event to create a full-day program with something for everyone:

- 6pm – 8pm: Tether Budtender Event
- ADULT ONLY: This event is only open to 19+ years of age. ID may be requested upon entry and if you do not meet the requirements, no refunds will be provided.

FAQs & Accommodation Options
TETHER BUDTENDER EVENT
Both events require separate ticket purchases. For our Growing Relationship ticket holders, you will receive a Tether promo code on your Growing Relationships ticket, once it is available.
GETTING TO THE VENUE
Please check your travel time to get to the Preston Event Centre at 523 St Anthony St., Ottawa. Registration is from 8:30-9:00am, programming will begin at 9am.
PARKING
There is limited FREE parking available on site, at the back of the Preston Event Centre. Additional Free Parking is available across Preston Street at the Adult High School located at 297 Preston St.
There is also a paid parking lot right across the road from the Preston Event Centre – the Preston Parking Lot at 301 Preston Street.
THE VENUE + ACCESSIBILITY
Growing Relationships is at the Preston Event Centre. The venue is accessible from the parking lot up to the Main room, the Main Hall. Accessible washrooms are available. Other levels in the venue, including our speed-networking activity, are only accessible via a few stairs. Please let us know if you require assistance.
TICKETS: QR Code + government-issued ID
Please have the QR code for your ticket open on your phone or a printed copy with you so we can get you checked in quickly.
🎟 If someone else ordered your ticket for you – please ask them to send you your ticket so you have the QR code in case you arrive separately.
Please ensure you have government-issued ID with you. This is an adult-only event (19+) and ID may be required upon entry.

Your ticket includes all activities, food and beverages.
FOOD: ALLERGIES & REQUESTS
If you indicated a food allergy or dietary preferences on your ticket, we will let the catering staff know ahead of time. We have asked that all dishes be clearly labelled.
DRESS CODE
We do not have a formal dress code, although most peole dress business casual.
SPEED-NETWORKING: How to Prepare!
This is a fun and fast-paced experience! We strongly encourage you to practice and perfect your B2B elevator pitch before you arrive: craft a concise 1-minute introduction to introduce your business, your brand, and your current products.
The elevator pitch applies to Producers and Services primarily, as you will be presenting your business. Retailers come prepared with your business cards!

→ Ancillary Services: will pitch to Producers or Retailers, depending your business
