Police in Quebec say they seized nearly 1,000 cannabis plants, more than 100 kg of cannabis, along with cash, equipment, and some methamphetamine pills in the course of two searches on June 27.

The searches were made in the Laval and Saint-Jérôme areas northwest of Montreal. In an announcement about the collaboration between the Sûreté du Québec’s Contraband Investigation Service and the Laval and Saint-Jérôme police services, they say no arrests were made.

The Sûreté du Québec’s ACCES Cannabis program targets illicit cannabis production, distribution, and sales in the province. Quebec’s Ministry of Public Security coordinates the agency.

The searches were conducted on Fortin Boulevard in Laval and 103rd Avenue in Saint-Jérôme. Images shared by Le Journal de Montreal show a large amount of cannabis as well as grow lights being removed from a building.
