OPP seize more than $1.8 million worth of cannabis plants, cocaine, fentanyl, psilocybin

Ontario Provincial Police say they have seized more than 1,800 cannabis plants, packaged dried cannabis, along with cocaine, fentanyl, psilocybin, ketamine, and a large quantity of cash, jewelry, and electronic equipment. 

The seizures were made by the OPP’s Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET) at several locations in Scarborough, Markham, Richmond Hill and North York. 

Four people, Chien-Ying Lee, 38, of Scarborough, Fu-Lin Wang, 27, of Scarborough, Xiaozhe Jia, 27, of Thornhill, and Nam Hei Chan, 21, of Scarborough, are all facing numerous drug-related charges.

OPP shared images online of grow rooms with cannabis plants in various stages of growth, along with multiple packages of dried, processed cannabis flower, and a large quantity of Canadian cash. The total value of all products seized was estimated at more than $1.8 million.
